This period feature film starred Anthony Mackie, Samuel L. Jackson, Nia Long Nicholas Hoult  and was based on a true story from the late 1930's trhough late 1960's. The story takes place in Chicago and Los Angeles during the Jim Crow era.  An african american man buys many properties in neighbors not lived in by blacks and eventually teams up with a partner to buy a bank and give out more home loans to black people. They hire a white man and train him to learn what they know and stand in for them as the buyer of said banks and other properties. Once exposed all properties get revoked he goes to jail but later gets released
